Built on the spacious plot of a 1950s detached bungalow, the proposal is for an exemplary, energy-exporting Passive House Plus; a beautiful, solid, visionary 'forever' family home designed to support multi-generational family occupancy.
The elevations will be made from hand made red bricks set in lime mortar. The highly-insulated, thick, solid brick walls will use the English bond favoured by modernist architects of the early-mid 20th century, for example the brick houses of Mies van der Rohe with their modern, horizontal lines.
